Semios CRS Mating Disruption Efficacy

Key Research Findings

The research we completed on a commercial California orchard in 2021 showed that Semios provides superior CRS protection compared to alternative, hand-applied mating disruption products.

• Semios CRS mating disruption was tested at different densities and rates, and all performed equally well under commercial conditions with 98% of fruit being clean.
  
  
• Trap shutdown is not observed under aerosol mating disruption. This means growers using mating disruption can use observed CRS flight phenology to improve in-season pest management decisions.
  
  
• Compared to a competitive hand-applied offering, Semios mating disruption treated blocks had less crawlers later into the season, suggesting better consistent late-season control.
